Job Placement Guarantee – Terms & Conditions
The Hearing Aid Academy offers a Job Placement Guarantee. Under this guarantee, the Hearing Aid Academy will assist the student in securing employment in the hearing aid profession, or the student’s enrollment fee will be refunded, provided the following terms and conditions are fully met.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Job Placement Guarantee, the student must:
- Be legally authorized to live and work in the United States.
- Be seeking employment within the Hearing Aid profession in one of the 50 U.S. states.
Program Completion Requirements
Students must successfully complete the Hearing Aid Academy program by:
- Completing all training modules included in the program.
- Successfully passing all quizzes and tests with a minimum score of 80% (90% for California students).
- Passing the timed final examination.
- Completing all hearing test simulations and training exercises required within the program.
- Completing a minimum of 20 unique simulations using the THETA Audiometer Simulation Software.
- Achieving Advanced Level proficiency within the THETA training system.
- Watching the entire practical exam demonstration video.
- Attending and participating in the full 2-day LIVE Hearing Aid Academy Bootcamp.
- Participating in LIVE Zoom training sessions dedicated to passing the practical exam.
Program Completion Timeline
To qualify for the Job Placement Guarantee:
- The student must complete the entire program within six (6) months of enrollment.
- Most students complete the program within 90–120 days with approximately 10 hours of study per week.
Failure to complete the program within the six-month timeframe will void the Job Placement Guarantee.
Student Job Search Responsibilities (Collaborative Effort)
The Hearing Aid Academy’s placement assistance is designed to be a collaborative process. Students must actively participate in the job search process.
Students must:
- Create a professional resume approved by the Hearing Aid Academy staff.
- Allow the Academy to submit their resume to prospective employers.
- Apply for positions at hearing centers within an approximate 30-minute drive from their home (unless the student has chosen another work location).
- Personally distribute resumes and make contact with local hearing centers.
- Follow up with employers and demonstrate active interest in employment opportunities.
- Participate in interview preparation, including use of the Academy’s AI interview preparation tools if provided.
- Complete a minimum of three job shadowing visits with local hearing centers (within 30 miles) totaling at least one hour each.
- Participate in any job interviews arranged either by the student or the Hearing Aid Academy and report back to the Academy if a hiring offer was presented.
- Provide all requested documentation and information needed to assist with job placement.
Failure to actively participate in the job search process may void the guarantee.
Professional Conduct Requirement
Students must represent themselves in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with hearing centers and prospective employers.
This includes:
- Professional communication
- Appropriate professional attire for interviews and shadowing
- Timely attendance at scheduled interviews and meetings
- Respectful and responsible behavior when representing themselves and the Hearing Aid Academy
Unprofessional behavior that negatively impacts employment opportunities may void the guarantee.
State Licensing Requirements
Students must meet the licensing requirements established by their individual state licensing board, including any requirements related to:
- Education
- Apprenticeships
- Sponsorship
- State examinations
The Hearing Aid Academy will assist students with information regarding licensing requirements; however:
- Licensing rules and regulations may change.
- It is the student’s responsibility to verify and comply with their state’s licensing requirements.
Hearing Aid Academy Placement Assistance
Upon successful program completion, the Hearing Aid Academy will assist with job placement by:
- Utilizing the Hearing Aid Academy Job Alliance network
- Contacting partner businesses and industry employers
- Reaching out to former graduates and professional industry contacts
- Submitting student resumes to hearing centers within a reasonable commuting distance
- Helping coordinate interviews with prospective employers
The Academy will provide job placement assistance for up to 60 days following program completion.
Job Offer Requirements
To maintain eligibility for the Job Placement Guarantee:
- Students must accept any legitimate job offer meeting the following criteria:
The position must:
- Be a job as a Hearing Aid Specialist (or trainee/apprenticeship job leading to a full license)
- Be located within approximately a 30-minute commute or reasonable drive from the student’s home (or the location the student selected to work in)
- Offer compensation of at least $50,000 per year including salary and/or bonuses
If a student declines a qualifying job offer, the Job Placement Guarantee will be void.
Apprenticeship or Sponsorship States
In states requiring apprenticeships or sponsorships, the placement guarantee will be considered fulfilled when:
- The student receives a job offer from a sponsoring hearing center or sponsor’s company
- The position meets the minimum compensation requirement of $50,000 annually
Guarantee Outcome
If the student:
- Completes the program within the required timeline
- Meets all educational requirements
- Actively participates in the job search process
- Conducts themselves professionally
- Accepts qualifying job offers
and the Hearing Aid Academy is unable to secure a legitimate job offer within two (2) months (or pre-agreed timeline if longer than 60-days of program completion, then:
The Hearing Aid Academy will refund 100% of the student’s enrollment fee.
