Virginia Hearing Aid Specialist Licensing Requirements

Apply for Licensure (by exam) by submitting a Hearing Aid Specialist License Application. Need to have a sponsor.

ALL applicants must first apply to and be approved by the Board before they are able to take the examination(s).

Computer-based testing (CBT) now in effect for ILE written exam, administered by a vendor of IHS.

Written, practical, examination are each administered four times a year. Exam can be taken once in the 60-day window to be scheduled with IHS-ILE
